He is best known for his roles on the soap operas General Hospital and Melrose Place, as well as in the films The Big Hit and The Bachelor. Sabato was born in Rome, Italy, to Yvonne Kabouchy and Antonio Sabato Sr., a renowned Italian actor. He moved to the United States with his mother at the age of 12. He attended Santa Monica High School and then went on to study at Santa Monica College. Sabato began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in a number of television commercials. He made his feature film debut in the 1994 action-comedy The Big Hit, and went on to appear in a number of other films, including the 1998 romantic comedy The Bachelor.
