After college, he was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Chargers for three seasons before being released in 2007. After his NFL career, Evero became a coach. He was the defensive line coach at the University of Tulsa from 2008 to 2010, and then the defensive line coach at the University of Arkansas from 2011 to 2013. After coaching at his alma mater UC Davis for two years, Ejiro began his National Football League coaching career under Jon Gruden with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007 and remained with the team for three years, however after that stint he returned to coach college football one more season. Ejiro then joined Jim Harbaugh’s staff with the San Francisco 49ers. In 2016 he would join the Green Bay Packers and work closely with coach Dom Capers,this would only last for one year, because in 2017 when Sean McVay was putting together his staff for the Rams he chose Ejiro to become the team’s safeties coach.
Ejiro Evero(e-JEE-row EV-uh-row) (born January 6, 1981), is an English-born football coach and former player who is the current safeties coach for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. He began coaching at his alma mater UC Davis which was followed by the beginning of his NFL coaching career.
