Halit Akçatepe is a Turkish actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his roles in the films "The Bandit" (1966), "The Bride" (1967), and "The Last Train" (1970). He has also appeared in numerous television series, including "The Magnificent Century" (2011-2012). Akçatepe was born on 1 January 1938 in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied at the Istanbul State Conservatory and graduated in 1960. He began his career as an actor in the theater, and later moved to film and television. Akçatepe has appeared in over 100 films and television series. He has won numerous awards, including the Golden Orange Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "The Bandit" (1966). He has also been nominated for the Golden Orange Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in "The Bride" (1967). Akçatepe is married to actress and singer Gülriz Sururi. Akcatepe became a household name for his parts in "Ah Nerede Vah Nerede" in 1960 and the films "Yasak", "Gundogarken" and "Semaya baktim Seni Gordum" in 1963.
