Before his late-1970s/early 1980s duets with Helen Cornelius, he was a part of the family group, The Browns, which included older sister, Maxine, and younger sister, Bonnie. Together, they are best-known for their 1959 multi-week No. 1 country and pop hit, "The Three Bells".
