A recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant, Green won the 2015 ArtPrize 3-D Juried Award and a 2016 Oregon Arts Commission Fellow. Green is a 2017 Hallie Ford Fellow through The Ford Family Foundation.
Green was born in Yokosuka, Japan. She has a BFA (1983) and MFA (1996) from The University of Kansas. She is currently a professor at Oregon State University. Green is married to artist Clay Lohmann. Her recent solo exhibitions included Texas State University.
