After college, he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the 49ers for three seasons before being released in 2006. Jenkins was a two-time All-SEC selection and was named to the All-American team in 2002. He finished his college career with 2,845 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. Jenkins was a member of the 49ers from 2003 to 2006. During his time with the team, he had a total of 1,072 receiving yards and four touchdowns. After his release from the 49ers, he signed with the New York Jets in 2007, but was released before the season began. Jenkins is currently retired from football and is living in South Carolina.
