Marvin Fisher was an American songwriter and composer who wrote many popular songs, including "I'm in the Mood for Love," "I Can't Get Started," and "I'm Gonna Live Till I Die." He was born in New York City on September 26, 1916, and grew up in the Bronx. He attended the High School of Music and Art and the Juilliard School of Music. Fisher began his career as a songwriter in the 1930s, writing for Broadway shows and films. He wrote the music for the Broadway musicals "High Button Shoes" and "Bells Are Ringing," and the film "The Eddy Duchin Story." He also wrote the music for the television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." Fisher was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975. He died on April 28, 1999, in Los Angeles, California.
