Nina Foch was a Dutch-born American actress, director, and acting teacher. She began her career as a child actress in the 1930s, and went on to appear in over 80 films and television shows. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Executive Suite (1954). Foch also worked as a director, and was the first woman to direct a major studio film, The King's Thief (1955). She was also an acting teacher, and taught at the University of Southern California for over 20 years. Foch was married twice, first to director Robert Siodmak, and then to producer-director Boris Sagal. She died in 2008 at the age of 84.
