Born in the DR Congo, Kolo moved to Bondy in France as a child and played for various clubs near Paris before moving to FC Nantes' youth academy in 2015. On 4 June 2018, he signed his first professional contract with his youth club Nantes. He made his professional debut with Nantes in a 3–0 Ligue 1 loss to AS Saint-Etienne on 30 November 2018.
